Where are the Welfare Cheats?

It is always interesting to read and hear comments about the pitfalls of the welfare system, such as: "Those people need to get a job and stop living off the government!" Well, in a recent news story, we find that perhaps the target needs to be adjusted. Saginaw, Michigan's WNEM, TV 5's website brings us this tidbit about the Michigan Department of Human Services:

The choice to speak through writing bears many responsibilities. Being accountable to all readers is one; being able to represent the silent or silenced voices is another. Of course, the greatest responsibility is choosing to be vocal and vulnerable in a public way. Ideas, thoughts, surmises all constitute ways of knowing. Sharing those concepts should be accomplished in a responsible and respectful manner.
